Will Phillips

Will Phillips is the Head of Outcomes for digital design education provider Academy Xi

Will and his team are responsible for providing career coaching to their students, preparing them for a role in the design industry and helping them to navigate the complexities of the job market, whilst at the same time nurturing relationships with organisations and businesses to create hiring opportunities for their alumni.

With over 14 years of recruitment & talent acquisition experience, mainly focused on graduate hiring across Europe, South East Asia & Australia, Will started off as a Campus Recruiting Specialist for Credit Suisse in London. He then made the move to Australia in 2011, before joining ThoughtWorks in 2014 to lead their Australian Graduate Recruitment function and take it from strength to strength, becoming an award-winning and industry-leading program within the local market.

Prior to joining Academy Xi in early 2020, he was the Global Graduate Recruiting Program Manager at ThoughtWorks, driving the success of graduate recruiting across the business and shaping their strategy to attract top entry-level tech talent worldwide.

Will is extremely passionate about diversity and is an active advocate for LGBTQI rights and gender equality within the tech and design industry.
